Lokalize screencast

Hi. I'm author of Lokalize computer-aided translation system.

I've played a bit with Wink screencasting/tutorial program, and created an intro tutorial, which show how to open projects, fill translation memory and enable widget text capture feature.

Great idea. Is there an original video available for download? It would be nice to have it so we could add captions or translated audio to it.

Hi, I'm from Galician language for KDE.
It's a very usefull tutorial. It would be great if you could do two more, one detailing the usage of glossary tool, and the other one following Lokalize documentation.

@JLP: you can make similar screencast yourself, with Lokalize GUI translated to your language. I used free (as in beer) tool called wink. it is available in non-free section of debian repository,

@Marce Villarino:
I created and added glossary tutorial to http://userbase.kde.org/Lokalize

@All you too can create your own tutorials and add them to http://userbase.kde.org/Lokalize

At least a guide on how to use some lokalize features!!

Unfortunately, my version of lokalize (Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 4.2 RC packages) doesn't show translation graph & statistics in "Project Overview" view, and also the "widget text capture" function is not working.

I doesn't know if it's a bug in this version of lokalize (0.3), or a bug in these kubuntu particular (and unofficial) packages.

@Orestes: file a bug for ubuntu package:
it should require python-kde4 and kdesdk's strigi-analyzers

oh, and if it's not greyed out, but still doen't work, wait for the 4.2 release: I fixed a bug related to permissions.

or:
chmod a+x /usr/share/kde4/apps/lokalize/find-gui-text.sh
